Remember that girl Juliett Kuczynska that I blogged about earlier last week? Well I was stalking her blog and found this pic below and freaking loved it.. cause ain’t that the truth? Its comical how anonymous individuals take the time out of their day to comment on other people’s blogs.. as if we care what an insecure, anonymous person who doesn’t know us has to say about our lives. Recently I got a message going on and on about how shallow I am. I am fully aware of the actual denotation of the word shallow.. but seeing as how I have not portrayed those characteristics on my blog.. I’m curious what exactly is the connotation attached to the word shallow? Is it someone interested in fashion, make up, and hair and uses those interests as a creative outlet? Or someone who enjoys staying healthy and values exercise? If that is how we are describing shallow these days, then by all means I am as shallow as they come.
I imagine that if someone is looking at a girls fashion blog, which there are hundreds, that we would all come off as self absorbed… on the account of, it pretty much consists of pictures of ourselves. Isn’t that the point of a personal fashion blog though, to show YOUR personal style? And wouldn’t that include taking pictures of yourself? At least we are confident enough to do just that and if you don’t like looking at pictures of one girl then maybe don’t look at the hundreds of fashion blogs out there! Or go look at street style blogs such as The Sartorialist which feature many different individuals.

Hey I found your blog through a friend and I love your blog. You are awesome and just doing what you love. There is nothing wrong with that. When people say stuff like that (ppl have said stuff like that about me too) they are just jealous. That’s all. And they have a lot to be jealous of because you are a hottie with great personal style and confidence to boot. If this is what you love to do then keep it up! Because life is to be enjoyed and it’s too short to be held down by people who try (and they always will) to bring you down. I seriously love this. I had someone “anonymous” write on my blog a while ago {pretty sure I know who it was} but the point is people that take the time out of their day to look at your blog in the first place either 1. are obsessed with you/your style/secretly enjoy looking at the whims of your life that you post or 2. Make it a point in their life to hate on you. Which probably means they are jealous of you in the first place. Its so sad that people are like that and I get sad when I see stuff like that but there are SOOOO many more people that adore what you do/have to say!

Your blog is great girlie. Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise. However, I think there are a lot of girls out there that look up to you, and are a little disappointed/let down, when you speak so poorly about other people. That’s what being shallow is, it’s not being able to see beneath outer beauty. More people look at your blog than you probably even know, but I can speak for myself, that I know you are probably better than that whenever you say pretty mean things about other peoples appearances. I love your fashion style though.

anonymous: well thank you for the compliment and as far as everything else, I am sorry if I have ever disappointed you. It is often hard over social media to tell how one is meaning what they say. I am always joking but you are right that I should not joke about others appearances and what not! I will try to be better at that! Instead of someone coming to your blog to criticize it, they should take a step back and realize they can BENEFIT from it. Even though I do not know you personally, you exude a genuine kindness and care for people. The pictures you post of yourself are stunning as well as inspiring. Love and kindness of people are those who will be remembered by people. Doing a good deed for someone and treating them right is more important than the superficial things a person has.
